Music Tech for ME 2007.08.15-#010

Welcome to episode #10 of Music Tech for ME. After our interview with Larry Marchese from Sibelius during the last episode, I thought it only fair to have someone from Make Music on the show. So for this week’s episode, I had the opportunity to interview Tom Carruth. Tom is a product specialist for Make Music. Make Music is the developer for the music notation program “Finale”. Back in June, Make Music released their latest version of Finale… “Finale 2008″. Tom took the time for a phone interview to discuss the many new features and updates in Make Music’s flagship program, “Finale 2008″. We also talked about the other music education products that are also being developed by Make Music. The picture below shows one of the very cool new features in Finale 2008. You can load an audio file into your Finale document for playback. This is a great feature for those that need to transcribe music from an audio recording.
