Welcome to the “Corrected Version” of episode #16 of Music Tech for ME. As I stated in my previous post, there was a technical glitch in episode #16. During the interview with Karen Garrett, you could only hear Karen’s side of the conversation and not mine. Again, I apologize for this issue. Thanks for your understanding and please give the episode a listen. You will truly enjoy and be inspired by Karen’s passion for teaching music with technology. Blessings!

It seems like there is a problem with my last episode of Music Tech for ME. Due to attending the ATMI Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, I will not get an opportunity to re-upload the corrected version until Sunday afternoon. Thanks for your understanding and I will get the corrected version (with me talking along with Karen during the interview) up as soon as I get back to Nashville.

Welcome to episode #16 of Music Tech for ME. I so enjoyed the interview with Jim last week that I decided to do yet another music educator interview for this week’s episode. Karen Garrett is one of the best in the nation at utilizing music technology at the elementary grade level. Karen is training some 200 students a year in her music technology classes at Central Park School in Birmingham, Alabama. Now aside from her classroom success, she is also the author of the award winning website “www.musictechteacher.com”. After listening to this episode, you will no doubt be inspired and motivated by her passion and commitment to music education and music technology.

Welcome to episode #15 of Music Tech for ME. Our very special guest for this week’s show is Dr. James Frankel. Jim is no stranger to the world of music technology and music education. In addition to his 15 years of teaching music from the elementary to collegiate levels, Jim has spent countless hours teaching and training other music educators in utilizing technology in their music classrooms. So I hope you enjoy this interview. Also, don’t forget to check out all three of Jim’s websites. You will certainly find some very useful resources at his sites.
As a side note before listing the various links from this week’s show, there were some technical issues (podcast RSS feed) during the last podcast upload to iTunes. If you had problems with your subscription from the last episode, I suggest you go to iTunes and unsubscribe and then re-subscribe to the show. Blessings!
