Music Tech for ME 2007.12.15-#018

Welcome to episode #18 of Music Tech for ME. ATMI (Association for Technology in Music Instruction) will be the focus for this week’s episode. After attending the 2007 ATMI Conference in Salt Lake City back in November, I decided to use this show to talk about the conference and the organization. Make sure you visit the ATMI website, and if you are not already a member of this organization, give some consideration about becoming a member. The membership information is available on their website.

Now due to the Christmas and Holiday season, I will be taking a short break from producing the podcast. There will not be an episode for January 1st. I will, however, attempt to produce the next show for January 15th. By February, I plan on getting back to my regular schedule of producing new shows on the 1st and 15th of each month. So until then, please take care and have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. Blessings!

Music Tech for ME 2007.12.01-#017

Welcome to episode #17 of Music Tech for ME. If you keep track of music technology news, you will know that there have been numerous changes within the industry over the last few years. Many of these industry changes have had an impact on many of the applications we use within music technology. In this week’s episode, I had the opportunity to interview Robin Hodson. Robin is the Eastern Region Manager for Sibelius. Aside from talking about some interesting products available form Sibelius (by the way…. no discussions about the music notation program Sibelius. This was covered in an interview back in episode #9), Robin talks about the advantages of being a part of a very large music technology conglomerate. We also talk about the future of music technology applications and its impact on music education.
