On this week’s show, I will be interviewing Dr. Scott Lipscomb. Dr. Lipscomb is an associate professor of music and the chair of the music education and music therapy departments at the University of Minnesota. Scott is also the president of ATMI (The Association for Technology in Music Insttruction). For this episode, Scott shares some information about the upcoming ATMI Conference and the redesigned ATMI website.

Well… yet again another tech issue with the site and podcast. As you may have seen from mustech.net, there are some issues with the new version of WordPress and the Podpress plugin. The problem has prevented my latest podcast show (August 1, 2008 Episode #32) from being uploaded. I hear that the problems are being resolved and there should be a resolution this week. So for now, keep checking with the site and with iTunes for the next episode and I will keep you posted as soon as I know things are up and running. Blessings!

Welcome to episode #32 of Music tech for ME. “How Should Music Technology be Taught?”. As I progress through the summer, I spend time re-evaluating the music technology courses at the university. So for this week’s show, I share my thoughts and questions in regards to teaching music technology. Please share with me your thoughts and ideas about “How and What to Teach” in a music technology class (at the college level).
