I’ve had a history of ear and hearing issues for most of my life. In fact, I just had some minor ear surgery back on April 9th before producing this podcast. So for this week’s episode, I thought I would share with you my history of hearing health as well as my thoughts on how we should be educating others about the importance of hearing health. Please share with me any stories you may have as it relates to musicians and hearing issues.

Good topic choice–something that needs a lot more attention today. I’m actually an organist and wonder about a lot of the extended exposure to loud volume levels. I was glad to hear you mention even how playing in a band or wind ensemble can have damaging effects, that seems to often be forgotten.
