Wayne Lytle, the founder of Animusic LLC, is our very special guest for this week’s show. Wayne is the producer, director, and music composer for those amazing computer animation videos. I was delighted and honored to have the opportunity to interview Wayne Lytle for this week’s episode of Music Tech for ME. Blessings!

Music Tech for ME 2009.04.15-#045

I’ve had a history of ear and hearing issues for most of my life. In fact, I just had some minor ear surgery back on April 9th before producing this podcast. So for this week’s episode, I thought I would share with you my history of hearing health as well as my thoughts on how we should be educating others about the importance of hearing health. Please share with me any stories you may have as it relates to musicians and hearing issues.

Music Tech for ME 2009.04.01-#044

It was a pleasure to have back to the show my friend Joe Pisano from mustech.net. Joe has one of the best web/blog sites for all things music education and technology. I can always count on Joe to have some great tips and information to share with other music educators. I asked Joe to give us his top 4 sites that he is currently visiting on a regular basis. Hope you enjoy the show and don’t forget to drop me a comment or send me an email about this weels episode. Also, if you like the show, do a review for me over at iTunes. I would so appreciate it. Blessings!

Music Tech for ME 2009.03.15-#043

A few months ago, Korg released a new series of compact USB-controllers. The series is called the “Nano-Series” of midi controllers. The series consist of a “nanoKEY” which is a small 25-key velocity sensitive keyboard, a “nanoPAD” which has 12 responsive trigger pads and an X-Y touchpad surface (all which are great for drum programming), and lastly the “nanoKONTROL” which offers 9 faders, 9 knobs, 18 switches, and a transport section which can be used for controlling numerous functions within a computer based DAW. I purchased the ‘nanoKEY” and the “nanoPAD” last month and thought that I would do a review podcast of these great little devices. I also included a musical sequence I produced using only these two devices as my data entry tools. Check it out and let me know what you think. Blessings!

Music Tech for ME 2009.03.01-#042

Podcasting is not as easy as some make it sound. There is prep work and production work involved that you sometimes don’t realize just how much time it takes to put these episode together. Due to these and other demands, we recently lost one of my favorite podcast shows.. “EdTech Musician”. Todd and Andrew Seymour have been producing podcasts for about 4 years. I salute them for how they helped pioneer the music technology/education podcast shows. They will be missed. Also for this week, I’ll talk about the presentation I gave at the 2009 TIME conference just a couple of weeks ago on the subject of “Screencasting”. I hope you enjoy the episode and please drop me a comment or email. Blessings!

Next Podcast will be March 1st

Greetings everyone. Well I recently returned from the 2009 TIME/TMEA conference that was held in San Antonio, Texas. It was a terrific conference as always. But needless to say, I’m a little behind in school preps and other duties. I will attempt to post the next “Music Tech for ME” podcast on March 1st. Thanks for understanding and I look forward to getting the next show out in a couple of weeks. Blessings!

Music tech for ME 2009.02.01-#041

On this week’s episode of Music tech for ME, I had the opportunity to respond to my first email question. Needless to say, I was excited and honored to have finally received a question to share with the listeners. Please don’t let this be the last one. Send in those comments and questions to the show. Comments and questions will assist me in giving these episodes a feel of community. So keep them coming. Also for this episode, I did a quick review of a new and powerful virtual instrument called “Omnisphere”. I’ve included in the show a musical production I created using my Godin Classical guitar and “Omnisphere”. I hope you enjoy it!

Music Tech for ME 2009.01.15 -#040

With the 2009 TIME National Conference less than a month away, I thought it would be appropriate to have a discussion with the chair for this years TIME conference, Dr. Mark Lochstampfor. Mark and I chat about the very exciting events that will be occurring in San Antonio, Texas from February 11th through the 14th as the TIME Conference convenes with the 2009 TMEA Conference.

Music Tech for ME 2008.12.15- #039

This week, I’m sharing some info about my new Godin Multiac SA Grand Concert classical guitar. Not only is it a fabulous guitar, it also functions as a midi controller along with my Axon AX-50 USB pitch to midi converter. Also this week, I’m asking all those that listen to please send in some feedback concerning the future of the Music Tech for ME Podcast. Changes are in the future and I want to hear some feedback from the listeners as it relates to my plans and the future of the show. Due to the Christmas season, the next podcast will be released on or near January 15th. Till then, blessings to all and have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season.
